An arrogant, wilful, laidback lawyer must defend a Beverly Hills playboy accused of murder. Then the dude’s mother starts interfering.

Who will enjoy it?

Fans of the TV show The Good Wife who are in the mood for another good courtroom drama.

This quirky flick with its devil-may-care attitude and clever script is full of cool surprises, so don’t expect one of those made-for-TV legal dramas where everything falls into place just before the final kiss.

This movie keeps challenging you to stay one step ahead of the good guys as they try to outwit the bad guys.

The script is witty and laden with unsuspected twists, cool dialogue and moody characters. It plays games with your sense of logic and the narrative tricks will take your breath away.

So if you have your eye on someone new, take them to see this – they’ll be impressed with your intelligent choice and sophisticated taste.

Matthew McConaughey is the coolest dude in Hollywood right now and he has a ball with his razor-sharp and often hilarious lines.
