Are you heartbroken and looking for a film that understands your problems and offers comfort? Are you head over heels in love but it remains unrequited?

Then this romantic drama, based on a true story, is for you.

Channing Tatum plays the role of a man who’s crazy about his new wife, played by Rachel McAdams. Then she’s injured in a car crash and loses her memory, with the result she has no idea who he is. Now the poor guy has to pull out all the stops to make her fall in love with him all over again!

The director tells this tragic love story with delicate brush strokes and with such insight and empathy you’ll need to have a heart of steel not to shed a few tears.

But if you hate sentimentality, steer clear because The Vow is not for the cynical. It’s the kind of romantic tearjerker you simply have to surrender to unconditionally.

But while it’s unashamedly sentimental it’s also compassionate. Like The Notebook it gets under your skin and

in spite of its emotional manipulation makes you marvel afresh at the life-giving power of love.
