Plagiarism – are the consequences worth it? An author suffering from writer’s block steals another person’s story out of frustration and wins a prize with it. But will he get away with it?

This sensitive, clever and verbally stimulating drama is about the art of finding the right words, but also about theft, conscience and the creative process. It takes you to a place where ideas and words originate. It examines this process in an insightful, sophisticated and intelligent way yet is still gripping and entertaining.

Bradley Cooper charms you with his boyish grin, until you see the consequences of his selfish actions. The film is written and told like a clever detective story but it’s the way the written word is portrayed in visual terms that makes it worth seeing. It’s an unusual, slow-moving film but the direction is thorough. The Words emphasises the power of words to change and enrich lives, but also to destroy dreams.
