Nick Gordon has reportedly stressed he in no way caused Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death.

The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown passed away at the age of 22 years old on July 26, having first entered a comatose state on January 31 after drowning in a bathtub at the Georgia home she shared with then-lover Gordon.

Bobbi Kristina’s estate administrator Bedelia C. Hargrove launched a $10 million (R136 million) lawsuit against Gordon, accusing him of providing her with a cocktail of drugs and dunking her head in the bathtub to induce drowning the night she entered a coma.

'Defendant further admits that others unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate Ms. Brown'

But in new court documents allegedly filed on Tuesday by Gordon’s lawyers W. Bryant Green III and Jonathan M. Broderick, Nick contends he is completely innocent of the civil accusations brought against him.

“Plaintiff’s Complaint as answered by Defendant contains several unsupported conclusory, untrue criminal accusations that Defendant Nicholas Gordon committed acts that he simply did not do,” the legal papers read. “Plaintiff has not provided any evidence including but not limited to, affidavits, police reports, indictments, and or any documentation to support baseless claims made against Defendant…”

In addition to professing his innocence, Gordon also moved to dismiss the matter entirely. In his motion, lawyers claim he is not a resident of Georgia state, the 25-year-old was never married to Bobbi Kristina and that he “did not commit any tortious act or omission”.

In addition to this, Gordon also claimed he attempted to bring Bobbi Kristina back to an alert state when she was found unconscious in the bathtub.

“[Gordon] tried to ‘wake up’ Ms. Brown and attempted to get her to react that he performed CPR on her, and Defendant further admits that others unsuccessfully attempted to resuscitate Ms. Brown,” the motion to dismiss allegedly reads.
