Oprah Winfrey makes naughty revelation about her exercise regime

Oprah Winfrey has been missing steps when it comes to tracking her exercise progress.

The 62-year-old media mogul is currently a stakeholder in and spokesperson for diet mega brand Weight Watchers, but as she promotes her new scripted television drama Greenleaf, she is finding it difficult to accurately log her workout goal of reaching at least 10,000 steps a day.

"Actually, I left my little counter at home this week, so I had to, like, probably make up how many steps I was doing!" she laughed to People magazine at the West Hollywood premiere of Greenleaf on Wednesday. "But I try to do something every day that allows me to feel active, and I don't make myself crazy about it."

Oprah is looking absolutely gorgeous these days after losing 26 pounds (12 kilograms) five months into her Weight Watchers programme. And although her workout commitments are clearly helping her reach weight goals, the Oprah Winfrey Network billionaire insists she doesn't just exercise to look good.

"I just know that movement and flexibility, particularly the older you get, is what makes you feel alive," she noted. "So I don't want to just be alive, I want to feel it."

However, her devotion to exercise and eating right doesn't mean she has to miss out on delicious meals. At the outdoor evening soiree Oprah held after the premiere screening of Greenleaf this week she served up Southern American dishes such as blackened catfish, barbecue chicken, fried chicken, ribs, mac 'n' cheese, corn on the cob and mini apple pies to guests like David Oyelowo and Niecy Nash.
