As Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour takes over South Africa this week, we thought we’d share our top 5 Riri tunes.

It’s the inspiration behind her Diamonds World Tour and one of the hit tracks off her seventh studio album, Unapologetic, which was released last year. The empowering tune joins a long line of Rihanna hits!

Trust Riri to turn a simple song about an umbrella into a chart topper! Umbrella ella ella eh eh eh was such a catchy tune that Riri fans and haters alike knew it well. The track, featuring Jay Z, was a huge hit across local radio stations when it was released in 2009.

If it’s Lovin’ that You Want

Her reggae roots are clear on this track. Plus, the fresh-faced beauty flaunts some serious moves on the beach. This song is still a firm fave even though she released it way back in 2005!

Only Girl in the World

Released in 2010, Only Girl in the World is still one of our favourite dance tracks by the daring diva! In this video she pulls off old-school glam perfectly, even as a hot redhead!

Pon de Replay

This is the ultimate throwback to when Rihanna just emerged on the scene. The Barbados-born beauty’s Caribbean culture is evident in her first hit, Pon de Replay, which was released on her debut album, Music of the Sun, in 2005.
