Pamela Anderson has insisted she’s not obsessed with trying to keep hold of her youth.

While many celebrities rely on cosmetic procedures in a bid to stay looking fresh-faced and flawless, Pamela (48) is doing her best to age gracefully.

And a bad experience with wrinkle busting concoction Botox made Pamela even more determined to turn away from surgical interventions as she gets older.

'I'm not into all that stuff'

"I am the last person to try Botox but I did," she told People magazine. "I felt like my eyes sunk into my head so far that I didn't look look like me anymore! I'm not into all that stuff.

"I think a little bit of maintenance is good. There are things we can do to perk ourselves up. Some people go too far. I'm not obsessed.”

Pamela also revealed in the interview that her vibrant personality is a better indication of her age than her appearance.

"It is what it is," she added. "Besides, I feel like I'm getting younger all the time."

So she’s using some of her fellow actresses as inspiration of how to embrace her changing looks.

“I love Jane Fonda and Brigitte Bardot,” Pamela added. “It's like the old saying goes: 'Beauty comes from within.' It's about embracing it and feeling great about what you have. And doing the best for you."

When Pamela first shot to fame, she was famous for her long, blonde hair. So fans were left stunned when she chopped off her locks into a pixie cut.

"It was fun to cut my hair," Pamela said of her makeover. "It was fun to let go of the image for a second and say 'You know, this just isn't me.' I like my pixie cut but I look better with long hair." More than anything, she says, "I think it's just having healthy attitude."
