Parlotones to scale Kilimanjaro

He may have a thing for mascara and eyeliner but that’s not all Kahn Morbee has a penchant for in the personal grooming department – he likes face cream too. 

And moisturiser is one of the essentials the Parlotones frontman will take with him when he climbs Africa’s highest peak soon.

The cream is one of few things (along with water and snacks) he’ll be required to carry up Mount Kilimanjaro, he tells us – local guides will tote the heavy stuff for him and bandmates Neil Pauw andGlenn and Paul Hodgson.

The Parlotones will be among a group of 75 people who’ll tackle Kili from 5 to 9 March to raise awareness for the United Nations’ Africa Unite to End Violence against Women and Girls campaign.

“I’m feeling very positive about it,” Kahn says. “I’d love nothing more than to finish the climb, especially when it’s for such a good cause.”
