She has been known to fry cheesecake, making it even more indulgent than necessary. The queen of comfort food, Paula Deen, is back in business.

"Onions and bacon cooking up just makes your kitchen smell so good. In fact, one day I'm going to come up with a room deodorizer that smells like bacon and onions. It's a fabulous smell."

Only Paula Deen, hey . . . The celebrity chef, hailing from America’s South, is soon to return to the world of cooking after she was embroiled in a racial controversy.

The star of Food Network’s now-cancelled Paula’s Home Cooking, is set to return with a restaurant and a live cooking tour.

Najafi Cos, a private equity firm in Phoenix, agreed to invest as much as $100 million in the celebrity chef, in what they are calling Paula Deen Ventures.

Deen announced that she has plans for a $20 million, 20 000 square foot restaurant next to Dolly Parton’s Dollywood theme park in Tennessee. She plans to call it Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen.

Her Food Network cooking show was cancelled after controversy surrounding her use of the ‘N-word’ in 2013.

Fans can look forward to her fabulous white smile, her drawling Southern accent and her more-than-generous use of butter.
