Pippa’s weird advice for baby parties

Pippa Middleton has given advice on how to throw a first birthday party.

The 29-year-old socialite, younger sister of Britain's Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, wrote an article for her family’s online magazine, Party Times ? a subsidiary of their party planning company, Party Pieces ? and gave tips on how parents should celebrate their offspring's first milestone.

One of the pieces of advice is: "Play some nursery and party music in the background . . . Or peekaboo is always a winner."

She also suggests hosts make the party memorable by decorating the room with balloons because "babies all love balloons!"

She goes on to include a recipe for croustades, a fiddly finger food, garnished with Hollandaise sauce and pan-fried crispy pancetta, but recommends that "to keep expenses down" hosts limit canapés to two per person.
