Prince George's cute nickname for the Queen

A video clip from his little sister's christening has revealed that Prince George of Cambridge may have an adorable 'nickname' for the Queen.

In the adorable footage, captured by The Mirror, the almost 2-year-old tot is lead away from the church with his mom, dad and newly christened Charlotte, to go on to the Queen's Sandringham house for tea.

He keeps turning back as if to look for someone, and Prince William reassures him, "They're coming, they're all coming", adding what sounds like "We can go back to Granny's".

The Mirror suggests William may have also said "Nanny's", although the former makes far more sense.

If so, it means the family have opted to make things easier for the tot, dropping the "great" for George's name for his great-grandmother.

William and George also call the reigning monarch Granny, and famously called out "Go, Granny!" when a Queen-like doppelgänger parachuted into the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony as part of the show.

It's thought that George calls grandmother Carole Middleton "Grandma". There's no guessing what he calls step-grandmother Camilla - it must all get a bit confusing for the little prince!
