Poor little Nicholas!

Siya Kolisi's two year-old son, Nicholas, had a narrow escape last night after he became tangled in a mosquito net. The rugby star's wife Rachel shared the horrifying experience on Instagram this morning.

“I woke up last night at about 2 am, Nic was crying and making funny sounds so went to check on him," Rachel, who lives in Pinelands, Cape Town, wrote.

"His mosquito net was wrapped around his neck three times choking him – obviously from him rolling around in it overnight.

Needless to say you won’t find another mosquito net in my house!" Think it’s something we as parents don’t really think about, if you have one, maybe reconsider."

Siya's half brother, Liyema (14), and half-sister Liphelo (9), are also living with the couple. Read more: Siya Kolisi is recovering after his operation – and counting down the days to his wedding!
