MERCEDES’ second-generation B-Class again proves that exciting design is an important feature of the new-generation Benz models.

The new B-Class is still a compact, luxury people carrier but it has traded its boring looks for a more sporty design. Under the bonnet you’ll find modern turbo engines – the petrol versions are the B180 (90 kW, 200 Nm) and B200

(115 kW, 250 Nm) and the diesel models the B180 CDI (80 kW, 250 Nm) and B200 CDI (100 kW, 300 Nm).

A six-speed manual gearbox is standard but there’s also an optional seven-speed automatic.

All the B-Class models have a stop-drive system that’s automatically activated when the ignition is switched on. It has several safety features including Mercedes’ self-braking function, PreSafe, and seven airbags.
