Sausage and beans surprise

Serves 8-10

Preparation time: 10 min

Cooking time: 15-20 min

15 ml (1 T) oil

2 onions, chopped

500 g boerewors, cut into bite-size pieces

2 cans (410 g each) baked beans in tomato sauce

80 ml (? c) tomato sauce

60 ml (¼ c) Worcester sauce

salt and freshly ground black pepper

fried eggs

1         Heat the oil in a large pot and fry the onions until translucent. Add the boerewors and stir-fry until done.

2         Add the baked beans, both sauces, salt and pepper. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

3         To serve: spoon the sausage and beans onto the slices of toast and top with fried eggs.
