Morgan Deane, super-stylish wife of former Proteas skipper Graeme Smith, auditioned for the latest season on MNet's Idols. Her (very impressive!) audition aired on the show last night.

Look who stepped up to the Idols call!

Watch Morgan's audition here Still, Morgan's no amateur singer -- she was part of a pop group, Industry, back in her home country Ireland, before meeting Graeme and moving to SA to start a family. "When I got married I had my two babies straight away and so I haven't been singing since," the brunette beauty explained on the show. "But all of a sudden I woke up a few weeks ago and I was like, 'What's stopping me?'"

What does hubby Graeme think of her musical aspirations? "I'm supportive of whatever Morgan wants to do," he said in an interview on the show. "She's loved music her whole life. She's been there for me and the kids for the last part of my career, and if she wants to sing and she wants to have fun then so be it."

This is not Morgan's first time auditioning for a music talent contest. Back in 2006 she auditioned for the X Factor in Glasgow. She sangI Wanna Dance with Somebody by  Whitney Houston in front of judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osburne and Louis Walsh. Simon Cowell even told her she was "very cute"!

It was after she failed to qualify for the Final 12 on X Factor that Morgan joinedIndustry. The group had two number 1 hits on the Irish Singles Chart, My Baby's Waiting and Burn.
