Shocking new details emerge after man 'goes grocery shopping' with bloodied head in hand

The unfortunate victim he beheaded was his mother.

While the rest of the world celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, a man drenched in blood walked into a supermarket in Estacada, Oregon. In his hand were a knife and a person’s head.

Since then, the identity of the man was revealed, as well as the person he attacked in the supermarket with the knife and the unfortunate victim he beheaded. And it’s here where there’s a gruesome twist in this tale. The head that the suspect, Joshua Lee Webb (36), had in his possession belonged to his mother, Tina Marie Webb (59).

He allegedly murdered her in their house in Colton, about 16 km from the Harvest Market Thriftway, before he arrived at the supermarket with her bloodied head.

There Webb is believed to have stabbed one of the supermarket’s employees, Michael Wagner (66), multiple times with the knife until one of the other workers managed to restrain him. Reports have since revealed that Wagner underwent a successful operation and that his chances of recovery are good.

Ernie Roberts, acting police chief of the nearby town Sandy, said the only words Webb muttered after his arrest was to tell someone he was thirsty. According to reports, David Webb, Joshua’s father, is shattered at the news. He said his son had problems with his eyes and lived with his parents. They took care of him.

They even recently bought him a dog because he really wanted one. The dog was found dead on the kitchen counter.

“I can’t believe I lost my son and wife in the same day... I don’t know,” he said. “All my life, I looked forward to retiring with my wife. And now I can’t. That’s all I know.”

Webb is being held in custody at the Clackamas County Jail. So far, he only had one run-in with the law -- in 2000, he allegedly slashed someone's tyres.
