Connie Ferguson can breathe a sigh of relief after her husband Shona was discharged from hospital today.
Shona was hospitalised on Monday night and diagnosed with pneumonia.
Speaking to YOU this morning, Connie said that she was glad to have her husband back home. "I'm relieved that he is back home. I don't like hospitals much and would prefer if he could just be treated at home, where he is more comfortable," she says. After two nights at the Life Flora Clinic in Florida, Shona is feeling much better and is resting at home with his wife and two daughters, who have also fallen ill recently. "In our household alone it started off with our daughter Alicia who became ill with tonsillitis and bronchitis, then Shona who got bronchitis and later, Lesedi who also got bronchitis and now I have it too. Shona is the only one who got worse and developed pneumonia but he is much better now."
"Thanks so much to everyone for their prayers, we truly appreciate it," Connie says.
"People need to take care and not take winter for granted, dress warmly and don't take any cough or tight chest lightly because even the hospitals are full with ill patients, just getting a bed can be a challenge."
