Police officials have offered no further information about the singer's apparent disappearance, but fans and friends feared she might attempt suicide after she posted a rambling, confusing message on her Facebook page shortly after setting off on her early morning bike ride on Sunday.

In November,2015 she posted a similar alarming suicide threat on Facebook, saying she had taken an overdose amid a family drama.

"There is only so much any woman can be expected to bear," she wrote. "I've taken an overdose. There is no other way to get respect... I'm at a hotel, somewhere in Ireland, under another name. If I wasn't posting this, my kids and family wouldn't even find out."

Sinead is currently at war with U.S. comedian Arsenio Hall after accusing him of supplying Prince with the prescription drugs that allegedly led to the superstar's death last month.

In a social media post, she wrote: "Two words for the DEA investigating where Prince got his drugs over the decades: Arsenio Hall ... Anyone imagining prince was not a long time hard drug user is living in cloud cuckoo land."

Hall has fired back with a denial and a defamation lawsuit.
