Braais, gas tops, burnt food and stolen charcoal! Things get heated as Lee-Ann Liebenberg pops in as a guest judge.

This week’s episode of Top Chef SA starts off with an exciting outdoor Elimination Challenge!

Working in two teams of four that are determined by a knife pull, the cheftestants have two hours to cook a feast on open fire fit for a top restaurant.

Cooking for the judges on just braais and gas tops sees drama unfold among the cheftestants, from repeated burnt veggies to stolen charcoal and not having the usual kitchen timer.

The panel of judges this week includes three guests; chef patron from Coobs in Parkhurst James Diack, well-known model Lee-Ann Liebenberg and TV presenter Luthando Shosha, fondly known as “LootLove”. Despite James being the boss of one of the cheftestants and some of them being a little starstruck, each guest judge brings with them an energy that’s welcomed by the cheftestants.

Luthando Shosha, James Diack and Lee-Ann Liebenberg appear on episode 7 of Top Chef SA Luthando Shosha, James Diack and Lee-Ann Liebenberg appear on episode 7 of Top Chef SA.

As the pressure in the competition for the Top Chef SA title and R100 000 in cash rises, which cheftestant will fall?

Tune into SABC3 at 8 pm on Tuesday, 23 August 2016 for the next nail-biting episode of Top Chef SA.
