Steak rolls with mashed potatoes

Makes 2 large or 4 small servings

MASHED POTATOES 12-15 baby potatoes 30 ml olive oil salt and freshly ground black pepper 20 ml wholegrain mustard

STEAK ROLLS 4-6 thin steaks (100 g each) salt and freshly ground black pepper 200 g mozzarella cheese, grated 1 red pepper, cut into thin strips olive oil cocktail sticks

MASHED POTATOES Put the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water.

Add salt and bring to the boil.

Reduce the heat and cook until soft.

Drain and mash the potatoes (with its skin).

Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and wholegrain mustard.

Keep warm.

STEAK ROLLS Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Put the steaks on a clean work surface and season them with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Top each steak with some grated mozzarella cheese and a few red pepper strips.

Roll up the steaks and secure each with one or two cocktail sticks.

Season with salt and pepper again.

Heat some olive oil in a griddle pan and cook the steak rolls over very high heat for a few minutes or until nicely browned.

Transfer the rolls to an ovenproof dish and bake for 5-10 minutes.

If you prefer your steak rare to medium remove them from the oven a little sooner.

Serve with the potatoes.
