Every morning when Erika Mitchell travelled to work on the London Underground she had a secret ritual – reaching into her bag she’d pull out a book, then fold back the cover so nobody could see what it was.

The she sat transfixed, lost in the pages of the erotic romance novels she loved reading. She thought of it as her one guilty pleasure in life.

Then one day an exciting idea hit: why not write her own saucy novel? Having read hundreds she was something of an expert on the subject.

She set to work, using every spare minute away from her job as a TV executive to come up with a compelling plot.
