Ashton Kutcher is apparently retiring from acting. The former Punk'd star has become a favourite on the big screen in films such as No Strings Attached and Valentine's Day and has won fans in TV shows including Two and a Half Men and That '70s Show.

'He is so happy that Two and a Half Men is coming to an end'

Alongside this, he's expecting his first child with fiancée Mila Kunis and runs a technology venture on the side. Now, at just 36, the star is reportedly planning to leave acting behind in favour of his family and his beloved gadgets.

“Ashton is taking a break from acting…” a source told RadarOnline.

"He is so happy that Two and a Half Men is coming to an end and he has no projects planned as far as acting is concerned.

“He is going to focus on his true passion, which is mobile technology. He is a tech nerd at heart.”

Ashton and Mila, 31, first met on the set of That '70s Show in the '90s, but started out as friends. Their relationship turned romantic in 2012, after Ashton had separated from his now-ex-wife Demi Moore and following Mila's split from long-term partner Macaulay Culkin.

Now that the actor has found the woman of his dreams, he apparently thinks the showbiz world has given him all it has to offer.

“Ashton believes 100 per cent that acting happened to him because he was meant to find his soul partner and the woman he wants to be with forever,” the insider continued.

“They want a big family and they want to be there for their children.”

Ashton's last movie venture was 2013's Jobs, a biopic of late Apple founder Steve Jobs. Apparently playing the tech wizard inspired him to take his skills in the field even further.

“When Ashton took on the role as Steve Jobs, it is because his ultimate dream is to do what Steve Jobs did, but in the mobile world,” the source added.

“He never thought he was any good at acting and never really liked the fame."
