Terry Pheto is all smiles with Hollywood's elite.

We're used to seeing their famous faces on movie screens and on the red carpet -- but for South African actress Terry Pheto, they're just her buddies.

The local star recently attended the 10th Annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood in Beverly Hills, California. The star-studded event was held at the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel and was an exclusive invite-only event.

She was the only South African actress in attendance and flashed her beautiful smile on the walkway while smiling for flashing cameras before mingling with some of Hollywood's most loved actors and actresses.

"The event was beautiful. From decor to table settings, everything was superbly done. But the real beauty was in the women themselves. Black women in Hollywood are beautiful, and powerful. And I was honored to be in the room and have a seat at the table," she said.

But her highlight of the glitzy event? "Meeting Viola Davis!!!"

She added: "The speech of Essence Black Women in Hollywood Shining Star Honoree Aja Naomi King touched my soul and inspired me in a phenomenal way. It was moving."

And if you don't believe us, here is the proof in the form of pictures. The Madiba actress rubbed shoulders with the likes of Queen Sugar actor and model, Kofi Siriboe; Think Like a Man Too's, Meagan Good; the legendary actress Alfre Woodard and Oscar winner, Viola Davis.

Terry plays the role of Winnie Mandela in the American mini-series Madiba alongside Laurence Fishburne who plays Nelson Mandela and Orlando Jones, who is taking on the role of Oliver Tambo.

She was interviewed on Essence Live, discussing her role in Madiba and all the deets from the exclusive event will air on US TV network, OWN on 5 March.

That's our girl!
