Tonight: Nelson Mandela Foundation and LeadSA hosts Ceremony of Remembrance for Tata Madiba tonight at 6pm at the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory. It’s open to public.

10 December: Official Memorial Service at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg at 11am. Gates will open between 6 and 7am. The main service will be at FNB Stadium in Nasrec, but there will be live broadcasts screened at the Ellis Park, Orlando and Dobsonville stadiums. No cars will be allowed near FNB Stadium. No umbrellas will be allowed at Stadiums
Free public transport and park and rides facilities will accommodate mourners because no cars will be allowed near FNB Stadium. The City of Joburg has arranged for 41 Metrorail trains to transport 60 000-80 000 mourns from around Gauteng for free. All public transport and park and rides are free
The City of Joburg has also arranged parks where residents can join other mourners during the the days of mourning of Nelson Mandela.

11 December: the City of Cape Town will host its official memorial service at the Cape Town Stadium.
11-13 December: The remains of our beloved Madiba will lie in State at the Union Buildings in Pretoria. Members of the public will file past the body from 12pm to 5:30pm. Cameras and cellphones will not be allowed at the Union Buildings.
12, 13 December: Public access to casket from 8am to 5:30pm
15 December: Madiba will be laid to rest in Qunu in the Eastern Cape.
