They’ve proved themselves South African rock royalty, conquered America and impressed supergroup Coldplay so much the British rockers personally requested them to open for their upcoming SA tour.

So what’s next for The Parlotones in their quest for global music domination? Making world stage history, that’s what.

While the guys are known for pushing the creative boundaries with their award-winning music videos they’ll now be igniting the stage at the Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg with Dragonflies & Astronauts, a rock theatre production that features their music.

The show will run at the Teatro from 13 to 17 July but it’s the broadcast on 16 July that will be a global first for a band.

On the night the show will be transmitted live in 3D via satellite to 14 NuMetro cinemas in South Africa as well as TV stations in the US, Europe and South America.
