We're not sure what to make of this...

In the past month nearly 10 million people have seen the absurd yet fascinating video of Japanese artist Piko Taro in a leopard-print suit on YouTube.

Piko uses an imaginary pen and fruit to perform an absurd dance during which he repeatedly sings the words Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen.

The video has been shared widely online and been included in YouTube’s Best of YouTube Channel. Now a debate is raging as to whether Piko’s video is the new Gangnam Style, which caused such a stir a few years ago.

Even famous people have let it be known how much they like Piko’s song.

Although large numbers of people have watched the video Piko’s song doesn’t come anywhere near Gangnam Style. The video for that song, by Korean popstar Psy, has been watched by more than 2,6 billion times on YouTube.
