This Playboy playmate body-shamed a naked woman in this gym selfie – and she could go to jail for it

The offending picture was captioned: "If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either."

Dani Mathers  had a good laugh at this unsuspecting pensioner's expense after sharing a selfie from a gym's changing room -- and now she may face jail time for it.

The Playboy’s Playmate of the Year 2015 was in her gym’s changing room when she decided to snap a selfie which featured a naked woman in the background, without the woman’s permission.

Dani obviously had second thoughts and quickly deleted the Snapchat post – but not before thousands of her followers had seen it.

Unsurprisingly, the model was lambasted for the post on social media. “It's people like you that make others feel uneasy about changing openly in locker rooms," one woman tweeted. “Appalling.” Another posted, “@DaniMathers that poor woman's naked body is now circulating the internet when she never intended it to. It's really heart-breaking.” Dani backtracked in a few frantic tweets to her 75 000 Twitter followers and an apologetic video on her Snapchat account.

"I'm sorry for what I did... I need to take some time to myself now to reflect on why I did this horrible thing," she said. "Goodnight."

Unfortunately, all the "I'm sorry's" in the world don't seem to cut it in terms of California’s Dissemination of Private Images law.

Dani was placed under investigation following the post and the Los Angeles Police Department have tracked down the woman in her picture.

According to gossip website TMZ, the woman in the photograph, who is in her 70s, wants Dani to “feel the full force of the law”.

Authorities say that they will recommend that prosecutors sentence Dani to up to six months in jail.

The fitness fanatic was also banned from all LA Fitness gyms for violating a fellow member's right to privacy.

“Her behavior is appalling and puts every member at risk of losing their privacy,” said Jill Greuling, the company's executive vice president of operations, to the LA Times.

Dani was also suspended indefinitely from a long-time radio hosting gig on The Heidi and Frank Show on Los Angeles's 95.5 KLOS.
