Vin Diesel unveiled Hollywood Walk of Fame star number 2 504 yesterday, an honour he celebrated in front of fellow actors and fans.

The Fast & Furious star uncharacteristically wore a dark blue suit, and looked pleased with the position of his star on a street corner. As a kid growing up in Manhattan, Diesel said he danced hip-hop on a street corner to earn money.

This year Diesel (46) again played the role of Dominic "Dom" Toretto in Fast & Furious 6. The seventh film in the series is already in the making and he's also back in Riddick, the third instalment in the sci-fi saga The Chronicles of Riddick.

Diesel is one of Hollywood's most beloved action movie stars. He was also successful in the action flick xXx. As his next project Diesel wants to produce and star in a film version of the ’70s TV show Kojak, featuring the bald police lieutenant Theo Kojak played by the late Telly Savalas.
