Did we mention she's 71?

Forget Drake and his record-breaking 13 wins, the star of the Billboard Music Awards was without a doubt Cher!

The 71-year-old singing sensation proved just why she was worthy of the prestigious Icon Award when she performed her smash hits If I Could Turn Back Time and Believe, showing off her age-defying body in a spangly silver outfit and pasties and then the same daring black cut-out bodysuit she wore in her If I Could Turn Back Time music video (which was originally banned).

She skipped and sang as if no time had passed since that song’s 1989 debut —let alone the 15 years since her last performance at an awards show.

On accepting her trophy from fellow singer Gwen Stefani she told the crowd, “So, I’ve wanted to do what I do since I was 4 years old, and I’ve been doing it for 53 years." In one of the front rows, Diddy raised both hands and bowed in deference. “That's not an applause thing, I turned 71 yesterday—and I can do a 5 minute plank. Just saying.”

The star, whose most recent album, Closer to the Truth, came out in 2013, also thanked her mom, who told her "You're gonna be special," and gave a shout-out to her late former-husband and musical partner, Sonny Bono, whom she said also noted her specialness. "And really there was nothing about me that said I was going to be special."
