Snuggle up on the couch with the kids for the heart-warming Wreck It Ralph, or get geared up for the rugby as the Boks take on Wales. Looking for some inspiration? Check out the documentary on visionaries like James Cameron and Tom Ford.

Friday 8 November

Wreck-It Ralph, MNet Movies (channel 103) 4.30 pm

Even if they’ve seen it already, kids will love every minute of this fantastic animated movie. Although the film’s title makes it sound like a boy’s movie, girls will love it too thanks to the cute and sassy Vanellope von Schweetz who turns out to be Ralph’s only hope of saving the arcade games.

House Of Cards, M-Net 9.30 pm

First episode!

If there’s one drama series you have to watch, this is it! Kevin Spacey is brilliant as the seriously annoyed Congressman Underwood, who’s on a revenge mission after being double-crossed by the president and ignored for the Secretary Of State position he so desperately wanted. Watch it if only for his direct commentary to the audience as he explains his evil schemes.

Saturday 9 November

International Rugby, M-Net/SuperSport 6.30 pm

It’s Outbound Tour time and the Boks are playing the Welsh in their backyard. Who’ll come out tops at the Millennium Dome? There’s only one way to find out!

Stepbrothers, e.tv 10:10 pm

Need a good laugh? Check out Will Ferrell and John C Reilly play grown-up kids who live at home and are forced to bunk up – literally – when their divorced parents get hitched. If you don’t laugh while watching this movie, you don’t have a funnybone.

Sunday, 10 November

X2, e.tv 8 pm

Oh, yes! Unleash your inner beast tonight – cos Wolverine and his mutant pals are back. Professor Xavier’s students have learned to control and direct their powers for the greater good of mankind and now need to find out who has tried to kill the president.

Visionaries, SABC3 8:30 pm

Tyler Perry, Anna Wintour, Tom Ford, James Cameron, Beyoncé… if you want to know more about these industry leaders, tune in to this weekly documentary that delves into what makes them tick.
