Prince Harry and Prince William have a beautiful tribute up their sleeves for their beloved mom.

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the tragic death of Princess Diana in car accident in Paris on 31 August 1997 and her sons Harry (31) and William (33), have already started detailed planning of the commemoration.

Hello! Magazine reports the royals are planning to erect a memorial garden to pay tribute to Diana, who died in a car crash in Paris on 31 August 1997. Work on the garden is reportedly already under way.

It will be erected at Kensington Palace by Historic Royal Palaces, a charity supervising most iconic locations in the United Kingdom, now including Kensington Palace. The organisation is putting together a project team and applicants can apply on their website.

A palace source confirmed Prince Harry and Prince William will be closely involved with the project approvals.

It’s said the new memorial garden will be dominated by white roses – which used to be one of Diana’s favourite blooms. It will be situated near an existing memorial garden and the occasion will also be marked with an exhibition inside the palace where the young princes were raised.

Of his mom, Prince Harry told breakfast television show Good Morning America, "I hope she's looking down, you know, with tears in her eyes, being incredibly proud of what we've established."
