Win one of four sets of double tickets to see Yusuf Cat Stevens

09 October 2017

Answer this one simple question to win!

Yusuf Cat Stevens went from being an idolised British heartthrob of the ’60s into one of the most influential singer-songwriters of all time, with hits like “Wild World”, “Hard Headed Woman” and “Where Do the Children Play?”.

Through his spiritual quest and his search for meaning, he’s added depth to a musical career that’s become about so much more than just music. In the late ’70s, at the height of his career, Stevens converted to Islam after a near death experience.

He changed his name to Yusuf Islam and walked away from the world stage to start a family and dedicate his time to charity work.

Only after the tragedy of 9/11 was he motivated to return to the stage and speak out against the atrocities, fanaticism and war. He started performing some of his old repertoire, notably “Peace Train”, for the message it contained – coming full circle in a life which gave the world some of the most moving and beautiful songs and lyrics.

Now his fans can once again be treated to live versions of “Moonshadow”, “Morning Has Broken” and “Father and Son” – and this time you can be a part of it as Yusuf Cat Stevens tours South Africa for the first time.
