Bunless breakfast burger

A #JustDelicious indulgent breakfast, but quick and easy too. The bonus is that it’s totally guilt-free!


8 Eskort Gold Medal Pork Sausages

5ml (1t) oreganum

2,5ml (½t) chilli flakes

½ onion, finely chopped

60ml (¼c) olive oil

30g (2T) butter

½ punnet white mushrooms, sliced

250ml (1c) cream

salt and ground black pepper

2 heads cos lettuce

2 tomatoes, sliced

4 eggs, fried


  • Remove the meat from pork sausage casings and place in a bowl.
  • Add the oreganum, chilli flakes and onion and mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into 4 equally sized balls and press down to form patties.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties until cooked through and browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Fry the mushrooms in the same pan, adding more oil if needed. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the cream and cook until the sauce has reduced and thickened. Remove from the heat and set aside.
