Creamy lemon and herb tagliatelle with crispy bacon

This magical #JustDelicious combination of pasta, cream and bacon will melt all your worries away!


200g Eskort Bacon Cutts

400g uncooked tagliatelle

45ml (3T) olive oil

1 red onion, thinly sliced

5g (1t) fresh thyme, chopped

5g (1t) fresh sage, chopped

5g (1t) fresh basil, torn

500ml (2c) fresh cream

zest and juice from 1 lemon

extra fresh herbs for serving

salt and freshly ground pepper

lemon wedges for serving


  • Bring a pot of water to boil over a high heat.
  • Add the tagliatelle and cook for 10 minutes until al dente.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat a large frying pan over moderate heat.
  • Add the olive oil to the pan and fry the onion until soft and glossy.
  • Add the bacon and herbs, and fry until the bacon is cooked and crispy.
  • Add the cream, lemon zest and juice, then reduce to a low heat and allow to simmer.
  • Once the pasta is al dente, remove ½c of the starchy pasta water and mix it into the sauce.
  • Drain the pasta and add directly to the sauce.
  • Mix well until all the pasta is coated with the creamy sauce.
  • Plate a portion of the pasta and top with fresh herbs, salt and pepper and a lemon wedge.
