Dynamite mini ham and cheese doughnuts

Ideal for a #JustDelicious treat to tide the kids over during a drive, these dynamite doughnuts are filling and pack a flavour punch!

Ingredients

500g Eskort Picnic Ham, cut into bite-sized cubes

oil for deep frying

250ml (1c) cheddar cheese, cut into bite-sized cubes

500g store-bought bread dough

oil

250ml (1c) of your favourite potato crisps, crushed

Method

  • Heat the oil in a medium-sized pot over moderate heat.
  • Knead the ham and cheese cubes into the bread dough.
  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface.
  • Use a large round cookie cutter to cut out doughnuts and a smaller one to create the hole in the centre of each doughnut.
  • Brush the doughnuts with oil and allow to rest for a few minutes.
  • Deep-fry until golden then remove from the oil.
  • Sprinkle the doughnuts with the potato crisps immediately after removal from the oil.
  • Serve with butter, grated cheese and jam, allowing the kids to choose their own toppings.
