Perfect pork steak burger

Not really in the mood for cooking? Well this ultra quick #JustDelicious burger is ready in minutes flat!


1 tin pineapple slices, drained

30g brown sugar

20g butter

4 Eskort Smoked Pork Neck Steaks

15ml (1T) olive oil

5ml (1t) Chinese five-Spice

4 hamburger rolls

60ml (1/4c) mayonnaise

lettuce leaves

2 large tomatoes, sliced

salt and ground black pepper


  • Drain and pat the pineapple slices dry, sprinkle each slice with brown sugar on both sides.
  • Heat the butter in a frying pan and when it starts to bubble, add the pineapple slices. Fry until golden brown, remove from pan and set aside.
  • Coat the pork neck steaks with olive oil and season with the Chinese five-spice.
  • Heat a frying pan and fry the pork neck steaks for 8-10 minutes, until cooked.
  • Remove from heat and allow to rest.
  • Slice the hamburger rolls in half and toast each side lightly in a dry pan. Lightly butter the rolls once toasted.
  • To assemble the burgers, add a dollop of mayonnaise to the bottom bun, top with lettuce, tomato, pork neck steak and the caramelised pineapple ring. Season with salt and pepper and enjoy!
