The images were placed around the city of Plock late last month by Elzbieta Podlesna, in reaction to an Easter display there featuring slogans about crimes or sins.
In May 2019 Polish civil rights activist Elzbieta Podlesna went around the city of Plock putting up posters of The Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Depicting a Black Virgin Mary and housed at the Jasna Góra Monastery in Czestochowa, Poland, the image is a revered symbol on Polish catholicism. As far back as 1717 Pope Clement XI issued a Canonical Coronation to the image through the Vatican Chapter. The coronation earned the artwork's subject a new title: Queen of Poland.
