Known for his craftiness in his mother-tongue Afrikaaps, his wordplay through rap and spoken word art, rapper Jitsvinger has put together a multi-layered performance with the production crew at Penny Lane Studios.

Online audience members and fans will get a well-rounded performance showcasing Jitsvinger’s expansive musical works from various projects and productions, remixes of classic songs including a few unreleased surprises.

Making an appearance on this uniquely designed showcase is well-known Cape Town music producer and beatmaker Arsenic Beats and microphone phenomenon Def Eff.

The performance will be live-streamed via Quicket as a part of the @thelounge: a webseries of live performances created to showcase and support the work of South African artists during the Covid-19 pandemic.  To make this happen, the show has been awarded a grant from Concerts SA, a joint South African / Norwegian live music development project founded in 2013 and housed within the Southern African Music Rights Organisation foundation.

Under lockdown, the impact on live music all along the value chain has been devastating. Understanding music’s value as a place of refuge from despair and isolation, Concerts SA has responded using new technologies to offer an alternative to the live music economy while giving support to South Africa’s diverse community of artists and performers.

From 11 to 14 December 2020 global audiences can stream this audiovisual experience for R75. Tickets can be purchased from Quicket
