Earlier this month, Maneo Mohale sat down to talk to vangile gantsho about the various points of convergence and divergence in their collections. vangile gantsho’s sophomore release, red cotton (impepho press, 2018) was originally written as part of gantsho’s MA thesis in Creative Writing at the university currently known as Rhodes in Makhanda. Mohale’s Everything is a Deathly Flower (uHlanga, 2019) was recently shortlisted for the 2020 Ingrid Jonker Prize for English Poetry.
