- Lebogang Tlhako is a photographer and entrepreneur from Katlehong.
- With an advanced photography diploma from the Market Photo Workshop, Tlhako documents township life.
- Combining photography with her love for thrifting, nostalgia and fashion, her documentation is inimitable.
From Katlehong, Lebogang Tlhako got her advanced photography diploma from the Market Photo Workshop, where she started shooting film. Where she was introduced to analogue photography.
When I ask Lebogang who she "does it for", I'm expecting a comforting cliche. Something along the lines of "I do it for abo ngwana", perhaps because of one of her projects, Sho Ngwana. "Honestly, I do it for myself, first and foremost," she says. But she wants girls in the township to look at her images and relate to it.
