Why the US government asked Kim Kardashian to forfeit an ancient Roman sculpture

In April 2021, the United States government demanded that Kim Kardashian relinquish an ancient Roman sculpture. According to the civil court action, Kardashian was in the process of acquiring the statue that US officials say was looted from Italy. 

However, TMZ went on to report on how Kardashian had not made the purchase. Instead, they allege that her ex-husband, Kanye West may have been responsible.
