Although femmes and women have been known to lead queer revolutions throughout history, they go by uncelebrated until history absolves them.
With this in mind, Jacana Media is facilitating a panel between queer activists to discuss the erasure of femmes and women from the revolutionary movements they birthed. With global queer oppression in mind, the panelists will examine the implications that this erasure has on queer, feminist resistance against patriarchy.
To make this possible Jacana Media has invited the following queer scholars and activists to have the conversation:
Dr Bev Ditsie
Jamil F. Khan
The event takes place on 30 September 2020 at 6pm. To reserve your place at the panel click here and follow the prompts.
