Join Zeitz MOCAA for WOZA at home: a virtual event made from equal parts of music, workshops, cocktail making and art-led conversations.The event takes place from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday, July 4.

Ticket prices range from R30 to 120 and can be purchased from Howler. All ticket proceeds go towards after-school workshops, school tours, and transport for museum visits aimed at school children. Zoom room links will be sent to tickets holders via email at 4pm on Saturday July 4. Once ticket holders enter the virtual space, they will be allowed to attend activities of their choice.

Activity line up

Landing Page (6 - 9pm): Groove to DJ, Blaqkongo’s soundscapes in between having chats, making art and cocktails.

Room 1: MOCAA Making

Hangin' with Mr Konaté (6-7pm): Learn how to make a mixed media wall hanging inspired by the work of Malian artist Abdoulaye Konaté. Bring your old magazines, newspapers, a pair of scissors and some glue.

Zine making (8-9pm): Join zine maker, photographer and publisher Illana Wellman aka “Lani Spice” to get fresh tips on zine making. For this you will need more old magazines and newspapers, different types of paper, scissors, glue, masking tape or a stapler, pens, pencils and any visual or written material you would like to include.

Room 2: MOCAA Insights

Meet the makers (6 - 6.30pm): Artisans Zikhona Tefu and Juditha Sakinofsky will have a conversation about sustainable design, natural ingredients and how collaboration has made them successful.

Slow Look chat (7-8pm): Listen in on Sakhisizwe Gcina, Michael Jacobs and Siseko Maweyi’s chat about the exhibitionTwo Together.

Cocktail time (8.30 - 9pm): End Woza at home by learning how to make cocktails with Zeitz MOCAA Food. Details for the ingredients can be found here.
