On 2 March 2021, LVMH prize winner Thebe Magugu released Banyoloyi a Bosigo: a film made by Kristin-Lee Moolman in collaboration with creative director Chloe Andrea. Using his Autumn/ Winter 2021 collection titled Alchemy, Banyoloyi a Bosigo is a visceral short film on African etherealism and the divine feminine.

Translated into English Banyaloyi a Bosigo is angels of the night. It comes after Magugu’s fashion film debut, Counter Intelligence. Using his 2020 Spring/ Summer collection to examine the role of femme political figures in South Africa’s past and present. To fulfil the Counter Intelligence vision, Magugu conducted a series of interviews with women who worked for and against South Africa’s Apartheid regime.
