Published by Penguin Random House, the novel In a Strange Room tells the story of a young man journeying though Greece, India and the African continent. Together, the three journeys work at changing his life. Focused on longing, thwarted desire, rage and compassion, the novel is a hauntingly beautiful evocation of one man’s search for love and a place he can call home.  Once again, Damon Galgut has been longlisted for the 2021 International Booker Prize.
