Bruce Willis has found himself in hot water after entering a pharmacy in Los Angeles without a mask on.

According to E! News, "upset" shoppers reported the actor to management after he was spotted in the Rite Aid store without a mask amid the surge in coronavirus cases in the US. When an employee requested he cover his mouth and nose with the green bandana he'd had around his neck, he gave her a "disgruntled" look and left instead.

Stars have since slammed the 65-year-old with 13 Reasons Why's Dylan Minette cursing at the actor on Twitter, while The Hills alum Spencer Pratt wrote: "Really bout that 'Die Hard' brand."

Bruce has since spoken out following the backlash, calling his actions "an error in judgment".

"Be safe out there everyone and let's continue to mask up," he told People in a statement.
