  • Chrissy Teigen has revealed she was indeed pregnant when she went for her breast implant removal surgery - but had no idea!
  • "It's quite a story," she told fans on Twitter, adding the routine test before the surgery came back negative. "It was not negative," she said.
  • The former supermodel wrote she took another test a little while later and saw she was in fact pregnant.
  • Chrissy said she was "scared shitless" for months. "So we prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay."

Chrissy Teigen is sharing how she found out she's expecting baby number three.

The former supermodel first revealed the news in husband John Legend's new music video for Wild. In one of the final shots of the steamy video, Chrissy cradles her growing baby bump with John standing behind her.

The couple also shares four-year-old Luna and two-year-old Miles, who were both conceived via IVF.

Chrissy has been open about her struggle to fall pregnant naturally over the years, so she was happy to open up to fans over the weekend – one asking if she was pregnant when she went for her breast implant removal surgery.

"Oh, it's quite a story. lol," she began.

Chrissy said before the surgery, she did the routine pregnancy test. "It said negative. It was not negative," she wrote on Twitter.

"A few weeks after surgery, I took a test. And for many years now, I've taken pregnancy tests almost every month, praying to see a positive one day. Just wishful thinking. I never had a positive before.

"So the morning of John's album release, he wakes up at 3am to do Good Morning America. I woke up with him and was like man, should take my monthly test to be disappointed... I was not disappointed. But I was scared shitless. Was pretty positive you shouldn't get your boobs out while pregnant? Pretty sure."

She continued: "So we prayed to the boob surgery gods that everything would be okay. Went to every appointment terrified. Even without the surgery, I didn't think I could get pregnant naturally anyway. So the odds just felt... bad.

"But what they say so often can be true. When you give up on trying, life has a way of surprising you."

She concluded: "In summary, my boobs hurt."
