- Higher Ground and Spotify announced on Thursday the launch of The Michelle Obama Podcast.
- The former First Lady will be joined by guests such as Conan O’Brien and Valerie Jarrett – businesswoman and former senior advisor to Barack Obama.
- The series will "explore meaningful topics", the 56-year-old said in a statement. "I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations – and hard conversations – with the people who matter most to them," she added.
The Obama’s production company Higher Ground is collaborating with Spotify for a new podcast with none other than former First Lady herself, Michelle Obama.
The podcast will feature voices such as Conan O’Brien and Valerie Jarrett – businesswoman and former senior advisor to Barack Obama – as the Becoming author holds candid and personal conversations on topics such as relationships and health, reports TIME.
The 56-year-old said of The Michelle Obama Podcast: "My hope is that this series can be a place to explore meaningful topics together and sort through so many of the questions we’re all trying to answer in our own lives."
She added: "Perhaps most of all, I hope this podcast will help listeners open up new conversations – and hard conversations – with the people who matter most to them. That’s how we can build more understanding and empathy for one another."
According to Variety the podcast will be available exclusively on Spotify on 29 July and open to free users and premium subscribers worldwide.
