  • NBC News shared a story about Usain Bolt contracting Covid-19 with a photo of Kevin Hart.
  • "This is disrespectful on so many levels," the comedian shared on Instagram with a screengrab of NBC's social media post.
  • The publication has since corrected the article image.

NBC News has since responded after posting their story of Usain Bolt contracting Covid-19 with a photo of Kevin Hart.

The comedian took to Instagram on Tuesday poking fun at the publication. "I must of gotten really fast & tall overnight [sic]," he said. "I want to take advantage of this moment & race anybody in the world.

"We can bet whatever... shit just got real. I am also no longer doing comedy due to my Olympic training schedule..."

He added: "This is disrespectful on so many levels... All you can do is laugh. Maybe the Covid 19 shrunk his legs & torso."

NBC News has since updated their story with the following correction: "A previous version of this article included an incorrect photo on some platforms due to a technical problem. The photo depicted actor Kevin Hart. It has been replaced with a photo of Usain Bolt."

They also wrote on Facebook, where the story was shared: "Due to a technical error, the social image on this post mistakenly featured a photo of comedian Kevin Hart. In the content management system, a social image was not selected, and the system reverted to an image of Hart from an unrelated video. The display image has been corrected."
