Noah Centineo is famously known for playing cookie-cutter, teen heartthrob, Peter Kavinsky, in Netflix's To All The Boys I've Loved Before. But in Harper's Bazaar's new issue, the 23-year-old talks about a very dark time in his life when he found himself dabbling in drugs.

"There's a syndicate of, like, 500 to 1 000 kids in the entertainment industry that are all trying to make it right now that all they do Monday to Monday is party every night," Centineo said, before revealing he would instead "take Molly" with his friends "and talk for five hours and like get to the bottom of some really deeply philosophical existential questions".

The P.S. I Still Love You star says while he never injected anything, he did pretty much "everything" else.

"There wasn't really much I wouldn't do," he said. "I smoked a lot of things. I was really upset, man. It was a really dark time in my life."

The star revealed that after his parents split when he was 15, he felt pressure to take care of his mom who he stayed with while his sister, Taylor, moved in with their dad.

"As the 15-year-old living in close quarters with my mom, I felt an obligation to step up and fill a role, fill a position that was vacant at that time, you know, and in doing so, I bristled and I kind of shoved down a lot of emotion."

Later, when he grew up and saw his mom was okay, he said he moved out. "I couch-surfed in the Valley and Hollywood for, like, four years," he revealed.

Now, Noah's still close to his family. He recently spent time with his girlfriend, Alexis Ren, and his mom and sister in sunny South Africa.

Channel24 learned in January that Noah was in Johannesburg where he went on safari, before travelling to Cape Town where he was spotted shopping at Checkers.

Taylor and Alexis both shared snaps on Instagram of their trip.
